Your Child’s First Appointment

The American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry recommends a child have a first dental check-up by age 1. However, each child has different dental care needs. Call us if you’re considering scheduling a first appointment for your child and have questions first.

The first appointment serves to familiarize you and your child with our practice, the dental chair, and some of the instruments we use. The goal for the first visit is to help your child develop a positive association with going to the dentist. That said, we won’t do a complete exam or cleaning at the first visit.

Location & Service Area

Larrimore Family Dentistry is located on Dawn Avenue in Ephrata. Our office is between the exit to Mister Hotshine Car Wash and Ephrata Beverage Center and across from the Ephrata Cloister Shopping Center, near Yogurt Works and Domino’s (facing Route 272). We have plenty of free, off-street parking spaces.
